True but I like to try and give the music a chance to broaden my music preference. It also adds a certain feel to the game. I am just surprised to hear that you don't listen to it at all. I was also hoping that Rockstar would have made the HDD music or streaming music as an extra radio station, like the older installments.
I'm too used to San Andreas on the PC where you can make custom radio stations so I don't really care for the music in GTA IV. I sometimes listen to The Beat, Vibe, and Tuff Gong when I'm just cruising around and relaxing, but most of the time I just turn the radio off.
I was expecting the song lists to be as good as GTA: VC and SA, but it just wasn't there.
It's not bad. I enjoy LCHC, and Integrity. Not even close to as good as Vice City's radio though.
Agreedthe other games had much better (espically VC the only time i really truely cared for the radio in GTA)

I like Driving around at night listening to Goodbye Horses by Q-Lazzarus I mostly listen to the classic rock station some of the other stations are alright but i also like just listening to songs on my Ipod. There's nothing like Blowing up a bunch of Cars and shooting people wile your listening to ''Don't Worry, Be Happy'' By Bob Marley. 8)

I like the stations except for Fusion (jazz), IF99 (funk) and K109 (disco).
San Juan Sounds and Vladivostok have some great songs I've never heard before (especially the two songs by Seryoga on Vladivostok).
I guess I can't really comment because I haven't played the other as much because I've always had an xbox, but I like the stations alot. They may not be as good as they use to but if not those other games had some awesome stations then. This one has music for everybody, but the hiphop stations r really good. U really feel like you're in a real place called Liberty City when the callers call in from the different bouroughs and the dj gives a shutout to different bouroughs! It's like listening to a real station, although you have to switch it up often because it seems to be on a very short loop. ''Broker Stand Up''

Ok so it sseems as though this has been a vicious circle; I had 400 ms points spare from my recent batch of 2100 and i didn't know what to get. Do i downloaded a trial of Small Arms, liked it, and downloaded the full version. After awhile, there was no message saying i downloaded it. Then i checked active downloads and said i had none on. Weird, i thought. So i went to games, and didn't see it, only the trial. Then i click Unlock full game and it said i downloaded the trial and full game already, but in game, i only get the features of the demo. Please help!Please hep with an Arcade game!

Not that I've noticed. The only game I've had that happen with is Disgaea 2, those PS2 cases and that center ring cracked it on both sides. I also rented the OB from Gamefly and one side had about a quarter inch crack in it but it still played luckily.If I were you I'd take it back to the store and replace it asap because that crack will just get bigger and bigger until it wont play anymore.

I just got a data transfer cable. I have been using a 20GB HDD on my elite for a few years now...and still have the unused 120 GB HDD and would like to transfer everything to it.My question is does it transfer my game saves and gamer profile over as well as all the additional content I already have? Hey, everyone. I've been thinking about getting Pariah. It's for the regular XBOX. The reason I want to get this is because I don't have much money on me right now and just want a game I could play with my friends. Can you vs. and do co-op in Pariah? I checked game details, but it said that for Ghost REcon Advanced Warfighter for 360 and it doesn't even have co-op. I dont have live. Hello, i've been recently taking interest in the Xbox 360. I just tried Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War at my friends house, let me say i had a hella fun online.However, i am worried about the reliablity of a 360. I don't want mine to break a while after i get it. I had never had an Xbox and i love Nintendo because of their reliable systems. I also don't want to spend so much after i get it, the games are already 60 bucks unless i get them used. I really want Xbox live though. I hope this is easier than i think. Give me some tips please. A 360 a good idea?

MS has a 1 year general warranty, and a 3 year warranty on the Red Ring of Death, the major hardware issues. I also spent $60 at Best Buy for their 2 year replacement plan -- if my 360 malfunctions in any way, I take it back, and walk out of the store that day with a brand new 360. Well worth the peace of mind.I'd say -- go for it!!!! A 360 a good idea?

Modded Controlers?
i play COD4 and i seem to be running into people with modded controlers more and more, i hate it when i rune into a person with a modded controler because i feel its noob and very very cheap, just wondering what everyone elses thought were on this matter for people who dont know what a modded controler is it just makes a single shot gun into an auto Modded Controlers?
they're probably just the cheap junk controllers you get from game stores with a ''turbo'' button. but yeah, I have noticed people shooting 3 round bursts from M14s. Modded Controlers?

i think their cool, but i havn't bought one couple years now. they r fun sometimes but the ones i get seem to break a lot of times.
It's alright man, if you can't kill them with their ''modded'' controllers then you just have to get better at the game... I can seriously tell you that, in my eyes, it's not much of an advantage because I bet you would run out of ammo so fast it wouldn't even be worth it. Hey allI am thinking of getting some new xbox 360 games and wanderd what you thought of:Call of Duty 4GRIDAnd maybe something else?I am into FPS, Sports, and Racing games. Definately get CoD4 if your going to play it online otherwise the single player campain will be short lived, in this case i would reccomend just renting it. HDMI long startup time, wtf?
so i ordered an hdmi to dvi-d converter for my monitor off ebay. i had previously been using the microsoft vga cable and i wanted to see if the hdmi actually looked any better. i've noticed that yes, it looks slightly better, but the weird thing is that when using the HDMI cable, my 360 takes a lot longer to boot up. i turn it on and can hear it working, but the 360 logo doesn't come up for 20-30 seconds whereas it usually comes up immediately when using the vga cable. is it normal for the 360 to take longer to boot up when using the HDMI cable?

i got one because devolpers stoped making games for the ps2. the price went to $350 and the warranty went to 3 years. my friends got one :) wii i didn't realy think it would fit me, i would barely play it (have a gamecube last game played was re4) ps3 was expensive.
No seriously and honestly, I bough it for Halo 3 and only for Halo 3. No other game that appealed to me.
i got it because i try to get every system so i don't miss out on anything.
I decided I wanted to get a 'Next Gen' Console and the 360 was the better cheaper choice.
It was basically an impulse buy, all I wanted was RSV and a PS3 on launch date and found out that it wasn't going to be released at that time so I got it on the 360 instead.
Halo3 and it was the first nextgen system.

(afterall, violin is the hardest instrument to play)

I'd say vocals for sure! The guitar parts aren't too difficult (and a heck of a lot more fun than that button mashing that GHIII turned into) and with some practice the drums are the most fun part of the game for me. But I have absolutely zero vocal talent so for the most part it's best that I don't access that part of the game in mixed company. ;)

honestly it's vocals for me since I really just cant sing, well I can sing but it sounds horrible so I'm bad at it mainly cause it's embarrassing.and to me, drums is actually quite easy, but the only reason for that is cause I played violin in real life for over 10 years and my sense of beat is, not to be bragging, very good. (afterall, violin is the hardest instrument to play)

Different people coordinate different movements differently. It's not clear cut like the ''Whats harder Halo 3 or CoD 2?'' discussion (CoD2 for anyone whos wondering. setting default profile?
My 360 has 2 offline profiles and a Live profile. Whenever I turn the 360 on, it automatically logs in as the Live profile when playing a game. Is there a way to turn off this auto login? Is there a way to make the 360 ask which profile to start with each time?Thanks in advance!cosmetics

its a great gamedepends on the customization for some people though. It was pretty good at first but then i started playing time trials, trying to beat the best times ect, and then the game got just pure awesome :) Ill definitely be getting it. Is Grid going to be better than Forza?
I'm going to go out on a fairly short limb here and say no.
First of all, going from Froza tothis game is crazy. the steering is totally different, where in forza its tight, and in grid if you turn the controller u can do a donut. The graphics are great on this game. The fact that you can do missions is cool too, but with customization features I'll have to see.
no. it will not. i was actually really disapointed witht he demo. the cars felt the same way they did in dirt which is not a good thing considering its on road. like dirt had an excuse cause it was an off road rally racer but grid is on road which means you should be able to turn without spinning out going around the widest turns
Hell no, the demo itself was HORRIBLE. The cars had to have butter on their tires to spin out that many times..god, what a horrible game it shall be.
i know alot of ppl are going to think im weird for saying this, but hey its my gaming preference so dont let it bother you. Now me personally i love Forza racing very realistic and is just amazing but i also think its really cool to just go into some huge turn around some wide sweeping bank at high speeds so in my opinion i think GRID will be better (I LOVED THE DEMO)

When I bought it my wife felt like it was a kids game. I was a little annoyed because I'm 32 and she thought that I was a little immature. Well she's from Mexico, a great country by the way, but they have limited resources so they didn't experience the video gaming revolution as me and my friends with Atari and all those stuffs. Hahaha. Yeah, I suppose so. My girlfriend of 3 years grew up playing PSX, and understands the nature of video games now as compared to the 80's and early 90's. She understands that Metal Gear and Lost Odyssey represent more than a ''children's game'' or even an ''adolescent's game.'' On the other hand, she has little tolerance for games that are time consuming like Final Fantasy. She's all about the Fifa and Forza though. 10-40 minute games? No problem. She also gets kind of embarrased when company is over and some J-Pop theme comes blaring out of the TV over anime-style graphics. I assume she would be less accepting of it if I chose them over her, school, work, and fiscal responsibility, but I don't. Sometimes, she doesn't understand why a PSX or SNES game costs more than a 360 game, I suppose that can get kind of frustrating. ''Can't you just download it?'' Yeah...not the same. I've had friends that were less understanding, and they didn't want to have sex or go out for a romantic lunch or something. So, rock 'n' roll for me.
yes i have to endure this lovely expeirnce my self my girlfreind happens to hate my xbox thinks it for little kids and that i should do more with my life then sit there and play games, she really hates it, and hate the fact that i play it all the time, she says that are children wont have anything of the sort, and neither will i, it ganna be depressing when that day comes but untill then i will contiue playing the game i love

If I can find her a 360 game that she fancies, perhaps she'll change her tune. Needless to say, it was one of the qualities I was looking for in a spouse, because I love gaming too much to give it up.

IMO, video games are no longer restricted to kids. This could've been said last generation as well. Its certainly an entertainment medium comparable to movies and books. Its just another way for story to be conveyed, and of course killing time. I don't understand why people see them as something ''immature''; at around $400 - $600 a system, one would have to be mature enough to afford such an investment. I do understand that you've said that she didn't grow up as privaledged as some people though. But thats fine, you should try to get her to play some games, maybe a moment or two on the system. Like say.... GTAVI.... or since this is America; she can experience GTAVI by stepping outside. (meant as a joke not an insult)
My wife does not understand it , in act her and bunch of the guys wifes from work are on my space ( we call it wife space ) all the time making fun of us. However she does tolerate it more now that we have a daughter and are free time together is pretty much gone anyway. but if you have a significant other who gives you grief over it explain it to them this way:consider the alternative, I could be sitting in a bar somewhere getting drunk and picking up women, at least this way you will always know where I am.
I'm still only 16 so I don't really involve any girlfriends with my life at home much so no friction there.My mother and family on the other hand are constantly whining. My mother was even CELEBRATING when I had to send my Xbox off >:(

He actually went as far as asking if my 360 was more intellectually pleasing than he was..:shock:Then there's always the coy puns thrown my way due to my gaming. I do not understand why my gaming poses a problem. He wouldn't have a problem with me sitting on my a$$ watching desperate housewives *cringes* or if I took up golf as a hobby.What's the big deal anyways? As long as I have prioritized my time with him accordingly, then what does it matter if i game or not?This is just one of many reasons, why I choose to remain single. :lol:

A little. To avoid the situation I only play when she's at work and I'm not. On occasion I can get her to play Puzzle Fighter, Beautiful Katamari, or a racing game. She beat Fable before me, but hasn't been as interested in games since we had a kid. On Rare occasion I can get her to co-op Halo3 with me, but not often enough for my tastes.

It's previewed in the latest Game Informer, and I have to say that Red Faction 3 (official title is RED FACTION: GUERRILLA) is looking to be an amazing game. Since no info (besides this preview) is really available right now, I thought I'd summarize some of the cool new feature for you guys! :)- It will now be played from the third-person perspective and have a cover mechanic (like Gears of War or Uncharted).- The environmental damage that made the series stand out has been upgraded significantly. Not only will you be able to blast a hole through any wall, but damage it enough and it might cause the whole building to collapse under it's own weight! The new system is so advanced that they claimed the developers had to learn the basics of architecture design, otherwise the buildings they put up using their editors would just collapse as soon as they finished it. The preview described blasting up a building from the inside to kill enemies on the levels above you... but then hearing the building creaking under it's own weight and seeing pieces of the ceiling begin to fall, meaning...get the heck out of there! You could even damage a single support beam for a bridge, so that it doesn't collapse until a convoy of enemy vehicles drive over it! GI wrote, ''Do you use the high-end explosive that are guaranteed to blow through a door? Do you cautiously make your way through the overstressed structure? All possible targets are rated on how much of a negative impact they make on the corporation, with bigger targets also coming with a higher risk of retaliation. Take over a main enemy HQ, and they may try to take it back at any time (and put up heavier defenses in the process). Or the enemy may destroy some of your safe house they knew about. Players can attack anything they want and recruit other resistance fighters for the task. Or you can get missions from conversation and radio chatter with your team-mates. Hurt the enemy enough in a given area, and the resistance movement may decide to stage a huge assault without any input from the player. You will now have the decision to join the assault, or to play a support role and weaken the defenses in a completely separate attack from the main forces assault, or you can even just go about your business as normal.Also all of the NPC's will follow schedules(like Oblivion). Notice that an enemy patrol drives through an area everyday at noon? Recruit some team-mates, set up some mines in the road, and ambush them! And that about sums it up. It's very fun with friends messing around in Free Mode. I haven't had any lag or glitches whatsoever, but the downside is all the auto-aim usage on ranked games that can make some matches pretty boring. He was trying to kill me with his rottor blades while I was trying to evade them and make him crash. It is a lot of fun.On the other hand... Damnit, the servers are AWFUL. I get disconnected so frequently as does everyone I speak to. I also have really fast connection and I rarely lag in any game I play. It can get to be a real pain. But I really wouldn't decide your purchase of a single player based game on the multiplayer experience. That would be like buying Condemned 2 for its team deathmatch. :PI really have to say that this should be a definite buy if you are into action adventure games. I am an RPG fanboy, yet GTA IV is easily one of the best games I have ever played. I say you should pi ck it up.

Slight GTA problem.
I was playing GTA 4 and all of a sudden my xbox freezes. It happens every once in a blue moon but no other game freezes atleast not as frequent. My xbox is new so its not my system. I know its a huge game but I had just completed all the cop missions but hadnt save.:cry:Slight GTA problem.
If it has done this with other games as well, no matter how often it does this, it is your system and not the game. The reason it would do it more with GTA4 is because the game runs the system harder. It does not matter how new a system is, it can still be messed up. First off most of Lionhead studio's second games are better than the first... They have the stuff the first game should have and sometimes more. I think asking why you shouldn't give up your 360 on the 360 board is rather silly... most often you're going to get fanboy replies. Honestly, and this is coming from someone who owns a 360, it's just a piece of hardware that plays video games. The differences between this and a PS3 are all based on your opinions. If you don't like the exclusives on 360, then maybe you should switch idk... and don't pay attention to graphics and stuff it's gameplay over graphics anyday. The whole friend issue is another reason in your case, and I think if you really just want to play games with your friends online then maybe you should switch. First off most of Lionhead studio's second games are better than the first... They have the stuff the first game should have and sometimes more. OK this is legit first of all.but anyways, i went out and bought a new 360 after my alzheimers grandpa destroyed my old one.SO he asked me if I wanted to go out and play some tennis (we're both avid players), and I quickly accepted the offer.Anyways, his car is parked right behind the fence where hes serving and he decides he'll serve first. He tells me he needs a can of balls, so being all alzheimer-y, he goes to the car and i think nothing of it.but when he gets back on the godforsaken court, he throws my BRAND NEW 360 into the air and smashes it with his raquet into the ground. He starts yammering on about how the glowing green light when its plugged in reminded him of a tennis ball, and as such, it simply had to be served onto the ground.he tells me it's not right for him to pay AND because I left the court, he won the match and is the superior player.Should I be mad or what? Birthday Decision Help???
Hey, well my birthday is june 24th, which isnt all too long from now. My birthday list this year isn't much, all ive got besides game-related items is a new guitar. The gaming systems i have right now, as far as current-gen consoles, are the 360 and the wii. I wanted to know what kind of input you guys had on this list. I am looking for good online games, which i should have taken care of with cod4 and vegas 2. Then i was just looking for some good solo games to play, as well as some rgeat games to play with friends, as far as having fun, like multiplayer mini-games and such. Before you recommend anything i already have, please check my collection to make sure you're not recommending an old game i already own. What should I get - purchasing problem.
Ok, I'm about to step into the new-gen era. I know its a little late, but if you people can help me out, it would be great. I'm thinking about getting a 360. I've chosen this because not only are the games great, but online seems worth it for the 50 bucks. Now my options are the Pro, Halo edition, or the Elite. I don't want an arcade because...well, no hard drive. I'm kind of on a strict budget, but I'm willing to spend the extra cash if it seems worth it. I also have to add that I have a CRT T.V., but I'm planning on picking up an LCD is the near future. Thank-you for reading. What should I get - purchasing problem.

So I sent in my 360 HDD for repair....and I just checked the repair status and this is what I see:---Repair Status: FulfillmentOrderAnybody ever seen this? What the heck does FulfillmentOrder mean? Have they recieved it? Is it on its way back? 360 Repair Status?
Typical turn around time is 2 - 3 Weeks.... Also, why did you change your icon? 360 Repair Status?

Okay, so if you look past the real minor flaws with GTA IV, it is truly a special and intriguing video game experience. With that said, for all of you that love this game, could this rank up there with your list of your favorite games of all time? I've got a lot of issues with GTA IV (repetitive mission design, laggy multiplayer, difficult achievements, change from San Andreas) but I love the game. If a game is good enough for people to look past the flaws, it should be ranked very high.

why would any one consider selling there Xbox when you got Gears of War 2 coming out and other great games later in the future. Only reason to get a PS3 Right now is MGS4. Witch is a pretty good reason to get one but still it's just one game and then you have to wait till next year for KillZone 2. Just keep your Xbox Unless your a Huge MGS fan like i am then just go for the PS3.

i wouldnt do it just save up and get a ps3 and have both i got rid of my box last year to get a ps3 and within a month i bought another 360 now i got both so just save yourself the time
yeah believe me i just bought a PS3 last week and there is hardly any difference between the two system except for that xbox 360 has way more and better internet features and better exclusives, and do not buy a PS3 thinking u can play PS2 games on them unless u buy a used 60GB or 80GB cause they discontinued PS2 compatibility on all new PS3 models and believe me so far they only have a few games that r exclusive to the system that r worth playing the other ones r not that great, trust me wen i say this stick to ur 360 and if u r going to buy a PS3 at least wait until u save up the money for it so that way u dont have to sell ur 360

If you aren't in a situation where you can save up for a PS3 on top of a 360, than I guess you should go ahead and sell your 360. On the otherhand, I have heard that most people who switch consoles (in either direction) end up regretting it eventually. I am not into the whole system wars debate, it is really all about preference. I simply like the games and controllers better on the Xbox 360. If you can, I'd suggest selling all the games you can live without and using that money to save towards a PS3. If I added it up right, you can get about $200 from all of those games together. I think the PS3 is at about $400 and if you could shave off $200 it would be much easier to save up for. That's just my 2c, but I would do that if I were in your shoes. Good luck with your decision.

I love the AK in GTA, I don't know why it just feels and looks awesome. My second fav is a tie bewteen the Combat Pistol and the Shotty they both pack a huge punch.
AK47. Quite simply my favorite weapon in ANY game as long as that game doesn't also include the AK74 series or any German WW2 weapon. The ratta-tat-tat the AK makes never ceases to put a smile on my face when mowing down mobsters.

After using the combat pistol (desert eagle) for an extended period of time I decided to go back to the standard pistol (glock). Even though the combat pistol is technically the superior gun, I find the glock much more satisfying to use.Aside from the glock, the combat shotgun is my favorite weapon. Nothing like unloading 10 rounds in a few seconds into the front windshield on an approaching cop car.Edit: Typos

It makes it more of a challenge to have to do it without help. I did not mean to offend you. I just hate when people brag about getting an achievement that they boosted for as they did not earn it. To each his own though.
na that cool, its just i like to work with my friends to get something it becomes more fun. ive never bosted noir do i care about achivements, i play for fun :) its just all fun n games

on gta 4 if i play online with a mate on freerome will i get achivements

You can only get the online achievements while in a ranked match. Free Mode is a player match so that would be a no.
