Call of Duty 4 and GRID question(s)

Hey allI am thinking of getting some new xbox 360 games and wanderd what you thought of:Call of Duty 4GRIDAnd maybe something else?I am into FPS, Sports, and Racing games. I have bought some dud games and want to avoid this in the future. Are there any other games that would fit this bill? I like Bioshock, GRAW, Forza 2, PGR 3, Gears of War, and Halo 3 as well as COD2.CheersCall of Duty 4 and GRID question(s)
defo get forza 2 and gears of war although you might as well wait for 2Call of Duty 4 and GRID question(s)
The demo for GRID is available on XBL and to download for PC off Gamespot if you want to give it a try first. I've got it on pre-order but I found the demo to be a bit different to what I was expecting, and I'm half tempted to cancel it, but half tempted to wait and try it out properly. CoD4 is good, but the single player is very short, it's more widely acclaimed for it's great multiplayer, if you're in to that.
Definately get CoD4 if your going to play it online otherwise the single player campain will be short lived, in this case i would reccomend just renting it. Grid (going from the demo) looks amazing alot of fun to play online also so i have high expectations for this game. As for any other games GTAIV would be an obvious one, maybe mass effect, rainbow six vegas 1 %26 2
Cool, I may see about Rainbow 6. Mass Effect I am unsure of as I have got Oblivion, Blue Dragon, and Two Worlds and none of them I have gotten into (I have started to get into Blue Dragon but its taken its time to get there). I have tried the demo thanks Zoe for the GRID game and quite enjoyed it but I am the same as you in that it wasnt what I was expecting (I was hoping for next gen TOCA) but its still good when you get into it. Online is quite good as well.COD4 would mainly be for live play as COD2 was for that for me, I like the campaign but I play more online on games like that.I am 50/50 with GTA 4, many like it but I am unsure whether I will get it to be honest, I know many of my friends have it and enjoy it but I found I didnt like San Andreas which puts me off getting the games again.
Since you like PGR3, then you'll almost certainly like PGR4. I also really enjoyed Test Drive Unlimited and DiRT if your looking for more racing games.I got GTAIV and to be honest I'm not loving it, and seriously thinking about trading it in for GRID. I tried the GRID demo and am really looking forward to it. The drifting will take some getting used to, and it is turning away from pure TOCA racing of the previous games, but there is a good selection of licenced cars and tracks which should make it a lot of fun.GTA was fun to play through the story, but I can't see myself wanting to replay it. Once you've done all the missions there isn't really much left to do. The online side is fun, and having choppers is awesome, but the rest of it feels like a collection of ideas that other games just do better. The car handling is awful for everything apart from a small number of vehicles, making racing competitively a painful chore rather than fun. If I wanted to play deathmatch or team deathmatch, then I would play an fps instead like COD4.If you're 50/50 about GTA then I'd say wait until the price drops before trying it.COD4 is great fun, and while the single player campaign is a little short, the multiplayer is great. There are loads of people playing, and even though you may be late to start, the way the game puts players together, you aren't at any more of a disadvantage now than you would have been 3 months ago if you started then.
Hmm some interesting points there. I may get GRID and COD4 then, maybe something else I am not sure. I have Test Drive but did not enjoy it as the rewards/punishments seem a bit harsh (I lost all my money when caught by the police for example and this makes the game really difficult to get good cars, and online is harsh as people have much better cars against you).PGR4 is something I may consider as well as it looks good and I like the cat and mouse option on PGR3 along with other game modes (team racing etc is a good laugh when with the right people who don't mess around).
You have to get COD4 its a must, and i also recomend Forza 2 for a racing game.
try the demo for gridbuy cod4 immediatley
Cheers, I have Forza 2 already but its well worth the recomendation so thanks for the suggestion (I would recomend the game to racing fans). I quite enjoy the GRID demo but am open to suggestions for other games.
Any other thoughts or recommendations? Is COD4 worth getting for sure and is GRID worth pre-ordering?
Call of Duty 4 is one of the best games out there. You should definetely get into that.
