Considering the controversy surrounding every GTA game, it's pretty shocking that GTA IV hasn't received the same mainstream media regurgetated babble as in the past. Now I guess Gears is getting too violent and must have slipped under the radar last time around, because now people are getting up in arms about the extreme violence the game portrays. It funny how now it's just becoming ''flavor of the month'' when pointing out extreme acts in videogames nowadays. Now Gears of War 2 is the pin the tail on the donkey.Remember the Mass Effect ''seXbox'' scandal? How about the GTA3 killing hookers for money or the Manhunt serial killer simulator. How about the kid killing his brother with a hammer because he saw the 3 Stooges do it on TV or the North Hollywood bank robbery inspired by the movie Heat, Oh wait, that's right, were talking about videogames, not the acts of violence that are imitated from movies world wide by people who can't discern fantasy from reality. Anyways, here's the link to the article.I'm sure this is old and most people have already read it, but I haven't so it's new to me.I guess GTA IV wasn't violent enough so ...
Crazy world we live in. Somewhat on topic; So I was watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 the other day (the newer one) and you tell me that people complain about a game such as Gears of War 2 yet theyll go to a screening of TCM2 and applaud it, its just crazy I tell ya.
