There are also rumours of a model including a Blu-ray player on it's way. I would like to get a 360 at some point, but I would definitely want to hold out for that, if it is true. Anyone have more details on this?

I'd say wait for E3 and see if anything is mentioned.
A decent price cut for either of the SKU's with the hard drive would maybe motivate me to buy a 360, if only to have all 3 current-gen systems. Though I might wait for the Blu Ray player version, which would hopefully have the most up-to-date chipset, so I don't end up being one of the ''on my 7th system'' people I know.

They might look into it and eventually adopt it but for now they aren't that intrested. As for the proice drop the arcade was the closest thing to a price drop. So for now it's okay. If you want you could wait but there are no plans. Oh yeah and the best system to get is the Core or whatever they call it now. The $400 one. The ellite might be too expensive and the Halo one should only be if your a big halo fan since beside the color, and exclusive gamer pics, it doesn't include a free month of gold or the 2 free games. (though it has been said that the Halo one has a better fan and processor so it will be less likely to get the Red ring of death. the article is in OXM)
i really don't know...a price cut would be cool though....i heard sales have been getting low
microsoft is not going to put blu-ray into the 360, they may release an add-on in the future, but they are going to put blu-ray in the next xbox which will probably be released in 2010. according to gameinformer ms has already approached companies about its next xbox, so i wouldn't doubt it to be announced at this years E3. i would def count on a price drop, as ms and sony should realize that most people won't pay 400 bucks for a system. wait it out for about 2 months if you can, cause i'd say it will drop during the summer.

Even if my some chance in hell they do put in a bluray player, it'll only be for movies. You can't charge your format this far in unless you plan on doing a free swap for everyone who bought a 360 before the bluray one.If there is a price drop, I doubt it be higher then $50. So, I heard the rumors too even if it drops $50 by the end of the summer, I rather have my 360 now instead of hoping for a small price cut.
