Hi everyone, I want to buy an Xbox 360 (probably a Pro) and I've read a lot about this RROD problem, is it really that bad? And are newer models abit safer when it comes to RROD. Thanks :)Rrod.. That bad?
Newer models are safer when it comes to RROD. Also you get a 3 year RROD warranty so nothing to worry about.Rrod.. That bad?
Well 3 of my friends had the RROD this year while I got the E74 error. I'm pretty sure though that the failure rate isn't that bad now, since most of the 360's are now Falcons.
Yes all signs indicate that the newer 360 models have their RROD issues pretty well ironed out. Not to mention the extended warranty and stuff. In my case, I bought my 360 November of '06 and I haven't had any problems at all with it.
It's still a major problem, anyone claiming it not to be is in denial.
Ok then, Thanks for the advice, I think i'll get one because of the selection of games and live. Thanks :)
My 360 just 1 RROD me, so now I'm without a 360 for quite some time now. This problem still exist for allot of us 360 owners and it's really a shame that it's happening. Funny thing is Microsoft's warranty after 1 year won't cover the 1 red ring, which is still considered a hardware failure similar to the 3RROD. Seems like allot of people have been getting 1 RROD E74 errors and not the 3RROD errors. So it makes me wonder if Microsoft is making it where you only get the 1 red light so it wont fall under the 3year warranty! Just a thought.
