This I don't get, mine hasn't frozen once, ur not supposed to bounce the 360 on ur lap while playing, is that what's causing it???Sign here if you still can't play GTA IV ...
This I don't get, mine hasn't frozen once, ur not supposed to bounce the 360 on ur lap while playing, is that what's causing it???
Yeah sure! And when my 360 overheats, I just put him in the freezer.
But seriously, I've run through the story several times, and cruised every inch of the city looking for pigeons, and I haven't had even one freeze. But then again I don't play for long stretches at a time, 4 hours tops.
Seriously, I'm not bashing R* or Microsoft. I love my 360 but when I load the game, it freezes constantly after 1 or 2 minutes of gameplay. I can't pass the second mission, it drives me crazy!!!
launch console...?
It's gotta be certain consoles reacting the same way, cuz this guys aint exactly alone in this. No one I know has had this problem though.
I've played for +60 hours already and never had a freeze...
Fabrication date feb 2006, and I'm the only one off my friends who faces this problem. I think it's a console issue.
I have had GTA4 Freeze only once when i was trying to play Multiplayer but single player works fine for me. Maybe your game or Console is messed up.
I had it happen one time just when I was walking in the safehouse to save. It doesn't even matter because everything I did was autosaved so nothing was lost.
I have about 20 hours logged on the single player, roughly, and haven't had any problems at all. Haven't tried MP yet though.
I had major issues with the game. It turned out to be my disc drive playing up. So sent it off to be repaired!Hopefuly! That's the reson behind the problem *crosses fingers*
We are a couple of weeks further and there is still no patch for the 360 ''freezing problem'' available (R* promised us to solve this issue), this is just outrageous.
dude.. u need to go exchange that copy of gta4.. or just don't connect to live when u play (that seems to work for me)
That smells that people are having issues, but I haven't had the game do anything wonky with me and I have had the unfortunate pleasure of playing GTA 4 on 3 different consoles. I think it's an MS, cheap POS hardware.
I've had no problems with it. 50+ hours of gaming. Must be your console. My first 360 started freezing a lot after 1 year and I just had it replaced. I've had my 2nd 360 for a year now and it works fine.
This I don't get, mine hasn't frozen once
Same here. I dont know what causes that stuff maybe doing too much at once?
I only had it freeze once and it was during a cutscene, the cut scene played finr but then the mission just wouldn't start.Other than that I've haven't had any other problems, it might be you console.
Its most likely your 360, i just got an Elite and my GTA hasn't frozen once, my friend on the other hand has the standard 360 and complains his GTA freezes too. Have you checked if there are any problems with your eye?
Single-player hasn't frozen, though two missions have failed to load correctly and I had to reload to the last autosave.Online I've had it get stuck at Loading a few times, and had to quit to dashboard.Apart from these I have played in long stints without hangs or freezing up
