Uwe Boll Movies: Have You Seen Any? Whic ...

You can't go 5 minutes web surfing without stumbleing on some negative comment about this director/filmmaker. I was wondering how much of this critisisim is grounded. Cause to me (i haven't seen any of his films) it seems like a bunch of people talk crap about him to make them feel better about themselves. I bet 95% of people that bash his work have never seen a single one of his movies. Any takers?Uwe Boll Movies: Have You Seen Any? Whic ...

But rest assured, all the bashing on this guy.. It's UNDERSTATING how bad he is. Nerds from Something Awful wouldn't have fought that tough guy in a boxing ring if his movies were just mediocre - no, those nerds were so offended by his movies they wanted to fight him. Hurt him. Hurt him as his movies hurt them, and me.
I've seen three of them, though one of them I didn't get through. They are bad. They're so bad they don't even have the ''so bad it's funny'' factor.
Most of what I know of him is second-hand, read from blogs and hate threads on this site.Though I did see a few minutes of Bloodrayne 2 as I was flipping through the channels and I almost threw up at how catastrophically awful it really was. If that is a solid example of his work, than his hatred is well deserved.Edit: My lack of knowledge of his ''pieces'' is what keeps me from speaking out against him. Regardless of my views on the Bloodrayne 2 massacre.I am extremely opinionated so I am trying out this whole thing called, ''Only having opinions about things I actually know something about.'' I'll let you guys know how it works out. :D
If anyone has watched all or most of his movies please give me his best and worst movies. I would like to rent a few a decide for myself.
I would suggest Bloodrayne 2 ( maybe the original, I do not know if he was the director.) From what I hear Alone in the Dark is one of his worst, I do not intend to find out.
i saw ''alone in the dark'' and ''house of the dead'' wow those were the two worst movies i have ever seen! and i have watched about 1,000 movies
Has anyone seen, ''In the Name of the King''.
o i also saw ''bloodrayne'', which was also horrible
Has anyone seen, ''In the Name of the King''.
that movie actually doesn't look too bad lol

It's grounded
How do you know?
I've seen both Bloodraynes, In the name of the king, and House of the Dead

They all sucked

I saw Bloodrayne and Alone in the Dark, unquestionably bad. I read a theory that seems to make at least a little sense. Boll is able to get well known actors because he is known for never doing retakes, no matter how bad the scene is. Thus, actors get paid for easy work and the producers spend relatively little money because the movies get made so fast. Even if the movie doesn't do well, which is pretty much a sure bet, it will still make some money because of it's low cost. Unfortunately Boll has contributed to the theory that videogames will always make for a bad movie.
I don't think all of it is grounded. I couldn't finish watching ''In the Name of the King'' even though I'm a Statham fan, same with ''House of the Dead'' which was downright terrible, but Bloodrayne was decent enough and I really liked ''Alone in the Dark''. Someone who can say that is Uwe Boll's worst movie obviously hasn't seen his other films.
I think he has just become a whipping boy for every person who has nothing better to do than talk crap on the internet. Also, being from Germany, I don't think he understands how much Americans really like to criticise things we know nothing about. On these forums alone there is enough under educated gibberish to make a Jar-Jar look knowledgeable. Internet forums are rarely a good source of constructive criticism.
Dude, you just said you haven't seen any of his movies so don't go saying that 95% of people who bash haven't seen them,This guy's name just goes hand in hand with bad filmaking and he even admits the only reason he can make these movies is because of a loophole he discovered that gets him almost infinite amounts of cash. Read up on it well before saying stuff like this.

I am guilty of watching: House of the Dead, Bloodrayne, Alone in the Dark, and In the Name of the King and they are all probably the biggest pieces of crap ever shot on film.

Thank you for proving my point that many would rather criticise than anything. Good Work!
I've seen a few of his movies:Alone in the Dark, House Of The Dead, In The Name Of The King, Heart Of America, Bloodrayne 2...Anyways, the hate is UNJUSTIFIED, completely, why? Well, it doesn't effect you personally, at at, in any way, in any capacity, and therefore, all this crap attempting to block him from spending his OWN money to make films is ridiculous.Okay, most of his movies have sucked, don't see them, there, you are unaffected... ...Heart Of America was a good movie... I will see Postal as well, because Dave Foley is in it, and Dave Foley is hilarious, and wouldn't be in a bad movie.

Whoever said he's spending his own money to make these movies read up on how he gets the money unless I'm reading some false information that makes him look like a good guy.

Also to the TC, if you haven't seen any of his movies and just go on what you have read online then you have no right to side with anyone on the argument until you actually go through the pain that comes with watching one of his movies. It sounds like you're just trying to go against everyone's hate on him like its actually not justified.
