It's way harder then i thought, way way more harder then i imagined lol .. I mean, the second boss felt like a final boss in other games, i toke a hour and a half to beat him, but when i finally got him i felt a feeling of accomplishment i havent had in a long time in a game lol. Other then that it's a damn good game and i'm not regreting getting it even though it's an original xbox game from 2005 :) I'm most certainly looking forward to NG2 now, going to beat NG1 so i'm prepared for number 2 :D this is one of those game that makes me even more happy with my 360 (:anyways - i just have one question, how on earth am i using magic or .. well i can't remember the name but the fire thing, i've pushed every button and nothing, i've tryed searching the web and ingame but can't figure it out, i'm a little emberassed because i'm guessing it's just a simple answer. Some help please for a Ninja nab haha? :DI just bought Ninja Gaiden Black, holy c ...
Its a fantastic game man! Very challenging!
I cant wait for Ninja gaiden 2 in two weeks!
I just bought Ninja Gaiden Black, holy c ...
well atleast now you know what to expect for the sequel 8)
Hahah I know exactly how you feel. That game handed me my own ass more than once but it's so great and you're right, you can get a big sense of accomplishment by simply beating the enemies or bosses.
To answer your question; if I remember correctly you activate Ninpo by pressing Y + B at the same time. I can't try it out myself right now as I lend the game to a friend.
Y+B for magic, and u better get use to it cuz u will need it in the future for some situations...i just beat NGB again recently but i remember the first time i played it. I had the same frustration u did, especially with the first couple of levels. However, the more you play the game, the more you'll understand the combat system, get better with combos and u'll be able to progress through the game more efficiently. There are some very difficult boss fights in the future that I even struggle with still but have plenty of health potions and dont be afraid to use a walkthrough if u need it.
I used the flying sparrow move a lot. It helps.
To be able to use ninpo you have to press start and go to the ninpo screen. The ninpo you have will be there. Just highlight the one you want and press A. I'm pretty sure you have to select it before you can use it. Ninja Gaiden Black kicks everyones ass the first time they play it. If you stick at it you'll gradually get better. Just don't expect to be able to beat bosses in the first attempt and you'll be fine. Keep stocked up on elixir's too.

[/QUOTE]Yeah i remember when i first got NInja Gaiden back when it first arrived, i was playing the game while my gf at the time was there with me and i was trying to beat this boss before we went out for dinner. It took me sooo slow to beat that dang guy, that my gf started to mock me about getting my butt handed to me in a videogame:lol:Of course when i made her try it she failed misserably, so i got to mock her back :P
thanks alot for the Ninbo help! i'm free from work in 25 minutes so i'm going to try it out as soon as possible lol.And yeah having a nice challenge is really refreshing, especially when you can watch yourself getting better and better at a certain boss and then you finally beat it.. your like OMG !! reliefed .. untill you met the next even harder boss haha :DI can only say great game, great challenge, and the best of all, great action!! :D
I played it at my friend's house and I only beat the first boss. I couldn't stand the difficulty!
its flying swallow =pyes it does work quite well, however, in black it was toned down on some boss fights cuz it was too good and made it unbalanced.

yeah really underrated, but i'm exited about it :)
Took you this long to try Ninja Gaiden? It's easily the hardest game in awhile. That's why I like it, the sense of accomplishment. Also, one of the best game ever made. So that's why the 2nd is one of my anticipated games this year!

how long is it btw?
Yeah, NGB and DMC3 are some really challenging action adventure games. I personally had a harder time with DMC3, but I prefered the gameplay in NGB a bit better. Both great games though.
Glad to see you got this amazing game! :DAbout the difficulty it will get easier the more you play as you will get more used to it, learn new moves, get new weapons and increased health. Also if you make sure to master moves such as the flying swallow, izuna drop, onlanding UTs and if the not the most important of all blocking and evading, then I believe everything will go by just fine. :)
yeh it was a d@m sweet game. when i 1st bought it for the original xbox the GS clerk warred me it was hard and people hated the game for being so hard, but i loved i think it was on normal and i was getting my @rs pwned lmao. but the funny thing was that i beat the final boss after like a billion trys and then when i didnt really try so hard i beat em :P. cant wait till i get the 2nd
i beated the first boss in my first attempt, but the second boss toke me forever :/
