For people who own or owned an Xbox 360 Halo 3 Edition, have you encountered any problems like say, RROD? Disk drive errors and such? Is it reliable as the Xbox 360 elite or Xbox 360s produced recently? I already sold my premium edition Xbox 360 I purchased Christmas 2007 and I'm looking to purchase the Halo Edition. I think it looks pretty cool. I googled and yahoo'ed and found nothing bad about it. But I'd like to hear from the consumers (you guys). Thanks in advance. :)Microsoft Xbox 360 Halo 3 Edition.
Looking to buy one? They're discontinued. No one sells that ugly looking console anymore....unless you're looking for a used one. Microsoft Xbox 360 Halo 3 Edition.
I think it is damn ugly. But more power to you if you would like it. I would suggest if you are in the market to look for the elites and find out if the one you are purchasing has a falcon chipset. I hear they are less likely to RROD on you. I may be pulling this out of my ass, but I was under the impression that more elites had falcon chips than the Halo 3 Edition.
Yes sir. There are a few brand new ones on Ebay. It does look kinda funky but it's differen, lol. I dont know.
I have heard that the Halo edition 360's are just refurbished systems with the Halo edition case. This is just something I have heard though so don't quote me on it.
I haven't had any problems with mine. No RROD yet. I recommend getting it!
I have it nad haven't had problem yet. I have had it for about 4 or 5 months now and no problems. It comes with an exclusive theme and gmer picture and I think it looks cool. I have also read that they updated the hardware on it. So were less likely to overheat or get the Red Ring of Death....(but I have no really way to prove about the Red Ring of Death). Yeah....
i got the halo 3 edition and no rrod but today i got an error called E 73, but it was cause i got a powerdown on my house so it screwed up u_u....

They do use the Falcon chip (65nm CPU), that consumes less energy and produces less heat.
Heres a Question....if you have the Halo Edition and you have to get repairs, but your system can't be repaired and they send a refurbished, do you get another HAlo edition back? I'm assuming you must, but I guess you never know

I thought it was kind of bogus of MS if it was true though. I would not have put it past them as when they say they are sending you a new one after you send yours in to get repaired it is not a new one, but rather a refurbished one. Dumb liers really.
Well to tell you guys the truth. I already ordered an Xbox 360 elite and it's being delivered Friday. What I was debating was, selling the Elite to buy a Halo Edition. I wanted all my systems to look different. Yeah I'm weird I know. Wii = white, PS3 = black and Xbox 360, well, Halo green! :P I just sold my PS3 too because I had the 40GB one and I want BC. I know, stupid me. Lesson learned, the hard way. I want to play God of War 2, pretty badly and BC is the only way to go for me. Now, I'm going to wait for the MGS4 Bundle which should be the best bang for my buck. Well, you guys seem really nice and mature and thank you for all the great feedback and interesting rumors. It's good to know, for knowledge's sake. I think I'm going to just keep my Elite. I dont feel like paying all those Ebay and Paypal fees to sell it. Although I might just change my mind again, like I always do. Blah. Thanks guys.
