I have the play and charge and it works really well. The play and charge kit is excellent because you never have to stop playing, and don't have to remember in advance to charge up your spare battery packs.I have 2 play and charge kits for 4 controllers, so can easily swap the cable around if its needed. Also if you leave it plugged in when you switch off your console, it will continue to charge the controller until it is full, then switch off the controller.The play and charge wire is about 3m long, so although it makes the wireless controller temporarily restricted to that distance from your TV, I rarely sit more than that distance anyway, so it makes no difference.
