so we all know its gonna be a trilogy, and i'm pretty sure i've heard that you'll be able to carry your character over from one game to another...is this true? anyone have any details on this? a question about the mass effect trilogy
My understanding is that is the setup with the Too Human trilogy...are you sure you aren't mixing them up?a question about the mass effect trilogy
well i read a cover article about both mass effect and too human in egm a looong time ago so that might be it...dang i would like to carry my character over though...
I've heard the same thing (about Mass Effect) as well. In fact, I think I heard a developer mention it in that Sci vs. Fi video but I could have been mistaken. All I know is that it would be awesome if your character transfers over - I would just have a tough time deciding which of my characters to do first.

just think of how many different possible storylines are possible if you consider the triolgy from beginning to end w/ the same character
true
I would imagine that carrying your character over would mainly entail bringing over his class, name, appearance and backstory that you chose. You'll probably have the base skills of that class, but not the level 50-60 power that you possess at the end of the first game.
In KOTOR 2, you had a different character than KOTOR 1, but they reference your original character, Revan several times. In conversation, you specified if Revan was male or female, good or evil, etc. Kind of a cheap way to do it, but they could fill in your backstory that way.
im pretty sure you'll be able to do that. but it'll suck if you can't bring over your old level. would be cool though if the difficulty was based off your level to some extent as well so you didnt have to play through half the game full of easy gunfights. in fact, the whole game's pretty easy once you've got decend guns, armour and like level 40 and up.

lvl 40? i finished the game at lvl 33 and thought it was pretty easy most of the time (didnt die vs saren either w00t)
i've played it on hard the whole way through, took me a long time to get used to the combat 'n stuff. I'm like.. level 58 now.
